Live Auction Items and Raffle Prizes for the DRA's February 11 Gathering
On Saturday, February 11, from 1 PM to 5 PM, the DRA will be hosting our first-ever gathering at Portland's Ecotrust Building. In addition to the premiere of the DRA's new documentary film, a live auction will be held featuring 13 unique items assembled just for this event. We'll also be holding a raffle, with five fantastic prizes. Here's the full list of items to be auctioned and raffled!

Item 1: A Day on Mt. Hood's Salmon River Studying its Insects with Rick Hafele and Mark Bachmann

It seems like Brian Silvey and Marty Sheppard have been fixtures on the Deschutes for centuries, but river-years must be the reverse of dog-years because neither has even hit middle age. It's just that they started young, paid their dues, and now are recognized as two of the Deschutes' best, most knowledgeable, and hardest-working guides.Four anglers will join Brian and Marty for a full, dawn-to-dusk day of steelhead fishing on the Deschutes River near Maupin in early to mid-August.

April on the Clackamas offers anglers an interesting grab-bag mixture of fish, so you never know what you'll get on any swing of the fly. Keep your fly in the water and hold on tight!Four anglers will join guides Nick Rowell and Michael McLean for a day on the water in pursuit of all three species.

Diane Bell is a well-known Vermont watercolorist with Oregon roots. She volunteered to paint this watercolor of a solitary angler on the Deschutes specially for the Deschutes River Alliance Auction. Diane used a photo taken by Brian O'Keefe as the inspiration for her painting.

They are also ardent conservationists, avid fly anglers, and great supporters of the Deschutes River Alliance.For the DRA's first-ever event, Lange has not only graciously provided the wine you are drinking this afternoon, but has also generously offered for auction two magnums of their 2013 Pinot Noir "Reserve." This wine garnered 93 points and "Cellar Selection" from Wine Enthusiast, the top magazine and rating source for wine aficionados.
