Water Quality Monitoring
The DRA now has two monitoring stations in the lower Deschutes River and the data is reported in real-time on our public portal.
The equipment includes data sondes that continuously collect important information about the health of the river. Our supporters helped us to raise the funds to have monitoring locations in Warm Springs and Maupin. We were also able to upgrade our equipment to share the information online.
We have developed a help sheet so you can better understand what is happening on the river and how to use the portal.
How to Support the DRA
Everyone wants clean, healthy water in the Deschutes River. Oregonians cherish our clean and healthy waterways to provide drinking water, wildlife habitat and recreational activities. The lower Deschutes River is a federally designated Wild & Scenic River, and a national treasure. It must be protected for the environmental and economic health of Central Oregon. We believe by working together we can return the lower Deschutes River to full health. The Deschutes River Alliance is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3).
